Cal Poly Rodeo Boosters

Greetings Rodeo Boosters,

As we move into the 2019-20 academic year, boosters and students alike will see some changes to Cal Poly’s rodeo grounds. We are about to break ground on the livestock cover and hay barn, and we expect their completion in summer 2020.

The Booster Board has also launched a capital campaign to improve the lighting in the Manfred and Jean Sander Arena. And we want to increase the bottom line for these scholarships:

  • Karl Giacomini Memorial
  • John McDonald Memorial
  • Manfred Sander Memorial
  • Smooth Mouth Memorial
  • General Scholarship Fund
  • Capital Improvements Fund.

Find details about these great support opportunities at www.rodeoboosters.com. You can also donate by writing a check to “Rodeo Boosters,” noting the fund of your choice on the memo line, and mailing it to Rodeo Boosters, P.O. Box 13727, San Luis Obispo, CA 93406. And like us on Facebook at Rodeo Boosters for updates on events.

Rodeo Boosters began in 1972 and was recognized in 2002 as a federal 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Its mission is to promote and preserve the Cal Poly Rodeo program.

We have made a few changes to enhance your Poly Royal experience in 2020, which will mark our fourth in Spanos Stadium. The Booster VIP area is bigger and better! With additional premier seating along the arena and more space to mingle, the Booster VIP area is an optimal location for experiencing Poly Royal Rodeo.

New this year: Booster VIP tickets will be available for purchase online through the Cal Poly ticket office. A limited number of presale tickets for Boosters only will begin Jan. 1 and end Feb. 1. Pricing and ticket access information to follow.

Thanks again for all your support. The Booster Board is looking forward to the future of this great program. That’s it for now; I have a hay barn to build!
