'Velocity Tour' Added to Poly Royal Rodeo

The 2020 Poly Royal Rodeo weekend, scheduled for April 17-18, will host a Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Velocity Tour as the Friday night event in Spanos Stadium.

“The PBR event should boost Friday night ticket sales and alleviate some of the pressure our students feel when putting on a Friday performance,” said Coach Ben Londo.

The Poly Royal Cinch Chute Out (college rodeo short round) will still be the marquee event on Saturday night.

“This will not affect our VIP packages or the viewing experience,” Londo said. “This will simply help raise our events’ recognition, create our own student-produced PBR event, and be a great opportunity to build upon our industry and sponsor relationships. It’s just another step in building our impact, our opportunities, and our experiences for our students and fans.”
