When and where can I purchase Poly Royal 2024 tickets? 

Wednesday-Night Student Event tickets will go on sale at 12:00pm on February 18th, 2025 at ticketscalpoly.evenue.net

Thursday, Friday & Saturday performance tickets will go on sale at 12:00 pm on February 19th, 2024  at ticketscalpoly.evenue.net 

Poly Royal Event Details 

What time does Poly Royal Rodeo start?  

The Poly Royal Rodeo Performances will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Gates open at 5:00 p.m.  A concert will follow the Saturday night performance at 8:30 p.m. and end at 10 p.m. 

What should I wear to Poly Royal Rodeo?  

Western attire and close-toed shoes are encouraged.  

Will there be Cal Poly Rodeo merchandise available for purchase at the rodeo?  

Yes. 

Will there be food and beverages available for purchase at the rodeo? 

Yes. We will have a variety of concessions available for purchase.  

Where should I park?

Is there is a clear bag policy? 

Yes, please see the section below regarding our clear bag policy. 

Student Night Event Details: 

What is the Cal Poly Rodeo Showcase and Concert? 

Cal Poly students are invited to attend the rodeo showcase night on Wednesday, April 10th. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. and gates open at 5:30 p.m.

Will tickets be sold at the door on the day of the event?  

No.  

Are there VIP tickets available for purchase? 

General Admission tickets are available to purchase for the public. VIP tickets are available through sponsorships and donations. Please see information below on how to sponsor or donate to the program. 

How do I get my Poly Royal tickets? 

Your tickets will be emailed to you and available to download onto your phone. Tickets will also be available at will-call at the event. You will have the option to choose your delivery method when checking out online.

I am a Poly Royal Rodeo sponsor or Cal Poly Rodeo donor. Where can I get my tickets?  

Sponsor and donor tickets will be emailed to you. Tickets will NOT be available for pick up at the banquet. You will receive your wristbands for specific seating upon arrival at the event.  

Alumni Roping 

What is the Alumni Roping? 

Cal Poly alumni are welcome to enter our Alumni Roping to compete for a chance to rope in the Poly Royal Rodeo performances on Friday and Saturday. The roping will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday April 11th at the Cotton Rosser Rodeo Complex. 

How can I enter the Alumni Roping?  

Register the morning of Thursday April 11th at the Cotton Rosser Rodeo Complex. 

Poly Royal Banquet 

There will be no Poly Royal 2025 banquet.  

Clear Bag Policy 

We encourage all rodeo attendees to bring a clear bag when attending Poly Royal Rodeo. All bags are subject to a bag search upon arrival at the Cotton Rosser Rodeo Complex. 

The policy is intended to maintain the safety and security of events while increasing the efficiency for fans entering the event venue.  

Non-permitted items include:  

• Outside beverages (Factory sealed plastic bottles of water are allowed) 

• Air Horns, Whistles or Megaphones 

• Weapons of any kind 

• Alcoholic beverages 

• Animals (other than service animals) 

• Laser pointers 

• Unauthorized cameras with lenses longer than 3.5 inches, interchangeable or telephoto lenses, video cameras, monopods or tripods 

• Lawn chairs 

• Tobacco products, E-cigarettes or Vaporizers 

Non-clear diaper bags and medically necessary items/bags will still be permitted at Poly Royal Rodeo but will go through a thorough search process.  Placing those necessary items for infants and toddlers in a 12" x 6" x 12" clear bag will reduce the amount of time needed to search your bag.
