Cal Poly Rodeo Hero Passed July 26
"Many great and successful people have passed through the Cal Poly Rodeo program. This year especially, I have heard of so many of our former members that have passed away. Just recently I had a friend bring the history of Doug LeTourneau's involvement with our rodeo program to my attention. What a story and what a hero. I had no idea until I read into his past and listened to his self told story on a Jocko Willink's podcast.
Legendary Green Beret and special forces operative Doug Letourneau spent some time in the Cal Poly Rodeo Arena riding bulls, riding broncs, and roping before he went oversees to fight for our country. He passed away July 25th of this year. I encourage you to take some time to look into the information below about a past Cal Poly Rodeo athlete. It's amazing what a warrior and survivor Doug was and we are Mustang Proud to call him one of our own."
